As I said in the hallway, I think this is much too much to write about in a three-page essay. I'd start with a more specific experience from your days playing high school sports (pick a sport, a particular time, not necessarily a huge game-winning moment). What do you want to say *about* sports? What lessons did it teach you? (You don't want to tell something just because it happened to you, or because you were a hero or had a great time. Think about what you have to say to a reader, and how your experience with sports can connect to something more general in life even of those of us who don't play sports.)
